I'm Late! I'm Late!! For a very important date!!

Hey so this is long overdue. But this is one of my gouache pick outs. I need to blog more, I know! I'll get on that.

Reflection

Honestly, I haven't loved doing a class's work as much as I've enjoyed this class. Most of my anxieties I've discussed with you, but I'll document them anyways. I don't feel like I'm good enough to be in this major. I thought I would be better than this, honestly. I want to have the talent to do this, and I will definitely keep trying. I just want to earn something other than a B in an art class. Not only for scholarship reasons, but also just because I want to be able to say I've earned an A in my major. Feelings of inadequacy strike again. I've gotten to loosen up a little bit as I have created other pieces. I fluctuate for sure though, I get all loosened up and fling the brush wherever and let the paint go wherever and then I tighten right back up again when I mess up a painting. But I avoided lifting the paint....not sure why? The stingy aspect of me thinking to myself "I'm wasting paint!" possibly?

I think I'm progressing a lot though. I know a lot of people started at where I'm at now, but I am happy with what i've put out so far, personally. Not so happy in comparison to everyone else. But happy in comparison to myself. I love the Coco Chanel bottle. I think it's cute, and very me. I love the pale pink colors. It was a bit more saturated in the actual photo. Most of these were. OH! I HATED the digital. I sucked at the digital. It was really hard to get it right. I worked on it on and off for like 8 hours. T'was hard. But you know what? I TURNED IT ALL IN! And I'm checking out for the night. My boyfriend brought over Sour Cream and Onion chips and we're watching some '90's chick flicks. We're enjoying ourselves and I'm done with the midterm!
